COLUMN: How to treat the weed invasion
- Herbicide blends containing 2,4-D and dicamba (Trimec, Weed-B-Gon, etc.) work well early in the growing season when the weeds are small. Weeds are almost nearing bloom stage which will make control more difficult. Spray as soon as possible to control.
- Trimec means three herbicides combined in one product. There are many brand names of trimec type herbicides including Trimec, Weed-Be-Gone, Broadleaf Killer, etc. Warning, some products are similar to trimecs but do not contain all three chemicals.
