Talented Students Stricken With 'Thassophobia'

The word "thassophobia" means the fear of being idle, or have an intense hatred of boredom, and a group of students Menomonee Falls High School might indeed be "thassophobics." These gifted students have been away from practice in idle for much anticipated talent show, named after the phobia, which took place Thursday at the school.

Thassophobia began as a poetry reading in the library during the 90s, and became an event that students look forward to every semester. It has expanded over the years to also include musical performances.

Over 50 students played in the show Thursday.Since last year, the show has outgrown the library and was moved to the room. It took place during the school day, the last day before spring break. About 400 students attended each of the five class periods it was found - nearly filling the hall to capacity.

I worked on this workshop for the past week - I think it came out pretty decent. The middle section where I'm showing two channel sound from WAV did not come as expected (hence the "% $ # that" I threw in there). I missed things because my plan was too big.
