When preparing to drain the wort from my last batch in the fermenter: I shook a gallon of 15ppm iodophor solution in my carboy, and then place it on the floor of my kitchen. I thought, hmmmm ... It requires only that dump before you forget. Well, I took the kettle and settled in the cons above the fermentation tank, connected a hose, and started to bleed. Once the level is reached where I thought it should in the bottle, I looked into the kettle to see what was left, and yes, there was about a gallon .... Strange I thought.
